This piece is inspired by 3 things: Cicadas, the photo on the previous page, and a Speak-and-Spell. None of the lines the Speak-and-Spell says really means anything, especially the morse code. Just imagine as if you were sitting in the park and kind of went in and out of disassociating. That’s how this piece should feel.
