Meditations on Miscommunication

  • Inspired by the practices of Pauline Oliveros and Marina Abromović, Meditations on Miscommunications is a short collection of pieces meant to stretch the imagination of the performers, audience members, and myself as a composer – most notably, the types of sound environments and interconnectivity we all can achieve if the practice of performance and participation in new music were more accessible. These pieces, with their humble subject matters, strive to create a moment of communal space where all can share the same ‘flow’ that I experience as I write and live in the world.

    I welcome you to laugh, cry, fear, stress, and all else openly in this space alongside the performers.
